Prime Minister Mark Carney attended the Barrhaven West Community Association's annual Canada Day Festival celebrations in Clarke Fields Park in his riding of Nepean, Ontario.
Joined by his spouse, Mrs. Diana Fox Carney, the Prime Minister met with Nepean residents and organisations, flipped pancakes, and helped prepare breakfast served by the Waterford Grand Retirement Living Centre. He also served cupcakes prepared by Kasia's, a local women-owned bakery to constituents.
Heritage Canada provided approximately $20,000 in federal funding to the Barrhaven Canada Day event.

The Prime Minister also visited booths hosted by local organisations and offices, meeting with teams from Pinhey's Point Historic Site, the Barrhaven Seniors' Council, the Free Lions Club, Mattamy Homes' Nepean office, and the Barrhaven West Community Association.
He also spoke with MPP Tyler Watt, Councillor Wilson Lo (Ward 24 – Barrhaven East), and Councillor David Hill (Ward 3 – Barrhaven West) regarding the area's developments, recent activities, and collaborations with federal departments.

Throughout the event, his Constituency Office hosted a booth providing Nepean residents mugs, baseball caps, notepads, colouring books, umbrellas, sunglasses, water bottles, pins, pens, and other merchandise.
The two-day celebration featured a Country Music Fest showcasing local and national artists, as well as a classic car show, line dancing lessons, yoga and Zumba classes, and a rock music performance.
