Diana Fox Carney, spouse of the Prime Minister of Canada Mark Carney, attended the Annual Ceremonial Review of the 75 Barrhaven Royal Canadian Air Cadets Squadron at the Howard Darwin Centennial Arena in Nepean, the Prime Minister's home riding, where graduating air cadets were recognized for completing a year of training and service.
Mrs. Fox Carney met the newly titled air cadets and presented a special congratulatory letter from Prime Minister Carney at the ceremony, which marked the culmination of the 75 Barrhaven Royal Canadian Air Cadets Squadron’s training year. The Prime Minister recognised the dedication and services of the air cadets, whose training included instruction in aviation knowledge, drill, and instructional techniques. He also recognised their participation in specialised programs, such as band, drill team, biathlon, marksmanship, effective speaking, and uncrewed aircraft systems.
Mrs. Fox Carney was the guest of honour at the Annual Ceremonial Review, the squadron’s most significant annual event. The parade included an inspection, drill performance, and musical presentations, alongside the presentation of annual awards recognizing achievement in leadership, instruction, deportment, and long service.
