Prime Minister Mark Carney and his wife Diana Fox Carney visited Ottawa Fire Station 44 on Greenbank Road in Nepean to meet local firefighters and make a donation to CTV & Move 100’s Toy Mountain campaign. The campaign supports thousands of families across the region each year and helps ensure that every child in Ottawa has a gift to open on Christmas morning.
Prime Minister and Member of Parliament Mark Carney met with firefighters, including responders in Nepean and rural crews participating in a training exercise in the riding. He took time to speak with them and thanked them for their service, recognizing their dedication to protecting and supporting the community.

During the visit, Prime Minister Carney, Mrs. Diana Fox Carney, and his Constituency Office team donated toys collected through an internal Secret Santa initiative, contributing to the campaign’s continued success. Organized in partnership with the Salvation Army, Toy Mountain has already collected 3,500 toys through local efforts, with the campaign being on track to collect 5,000 toys, alongside over $45,000 raised in donations. These contributions reflect the collective generosity of Nepean residents and the significant impact of community-driven efforts during the holiday season.

Prime Minister Carney's meeting with firefighters in Nepean was also reinforced by broader federal action introduced in 2025 aimed at strengthening community safety and supporting Canadians in need.
