Prime Minister Carney Celebrates Canada Day at Clarke Fields Park in Nepean

The Prime Minister, Mark Carney, and his wife, Mrs. Diana Fox Carney, joined residents in their home riding of Nepean at Barrhaven’s Annual Canada Day Celebration in Clarke Fields Park on July 1, 2025, to mark the nation’s 158th anniversary of Confederation. The event, which drew an estimated 10,000 residents, brought together families and community organizations for a shared celebration.

The Rt. Hon. Mark Carney participated in the festivities by flipping pancakes, visiting the festival’s local marketplace, and taking part in various celebratory activities. He also met with small business owners and residents from across Nepean as attendees gathered to celebrate Canada’s heritage and reflect on its future.

Festivities at Barrhaven’s Canada Day Festival featured a range of family-friendly programming, including fireworks, live entertainment, children’s activities, and community gatherings that reflected patriotism and community spirit.
